Cub Programme for Spring Term 2019

Meeting times are Tuesday and Wednesday 6.45pm to 8.15pm unless otherwise stated in the programme. Some nights are joint meetings for both groups so please check dates and descriptions carefully. Some dates and activities are subject to change.

As always Cubs have a packed programme of activities lined up for this term.

Visits to local landmarks, and activities around the town to get some more local knowledge.

Some friendly competition across the district with the trading post and bowling, with some of the Cubs going on to participate in the District competition later in the term. An overnight 24 hour Sport Relief Challenge is also coming up in March to get everybody moving and raise some money for Charity. Cubs are also taking part in Swimming and canoeing at the local pool.

We have the usual very useful first aid and emergency nights where the Cubs can learn about what to do in an emergency to help people, and a practical evening trying out some of these skills for real – or as real as we can make them!

Crafts, cooking, fire lighting all feature this term, and we also have a fantastic evening away where you can send your children to sleep with the fishes… more to come later!
